PREPARATION OF THE MASS
Place the dry mixture evenly in a container containing a measured volume of clean water, at a ratio of about 0,70 litre of water to 1 kg of gypsum, and mix it by hand or mechanically until it is a homogeneous mass free from clumps and loose ingredients. The mass is ready for use immediately after mixing and remains plastic for about 10 minutes. Before mixing the next batch of material, remove from the container any residue of hardened mortar which may shorten the setting time of the next mortar.
