Superwool HT papers are an alternative to traditional solutions due to their outstanding properties – high fire resistance, high temperature capability and lower thermal conductivity. These papers have excellent anti-wetting properties, making them suitable for applications requiring direct contact with molten aluminium.
Superwool provides stability and resistance to chemical attack. Exceptions are hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalis (e.g. NaOH, KOH). Superwool is not damaged by accidental oil or water spills – once dry, the thermal and physical properties are restored.
