Description

Skamol Smooth Plaster is a white, smooth finishing plaster specially developed for the final surface finishing of Skamol calcium silicate boards. This plaster creates a smooth, uniform, and aesthetically pleasing surface. The product is ideal for finishing fireplaces, stoves, and other constructions where Skamol calcium silicate boards are used.

Key Benefits

  • Specially developed for Skamol calcium silicate boards
  • Designed for final finishing and a smooth surface
  • Creates a smooth and uniform surface
  • Suitable for finishing fireplace and stove constructions
  • Recommended layer thickness – 1.5–3 mm
  • Can be used together with Skamol Mesh reinforcing mesh for additional surface reinforcement
  • One 15 kg bag covers approximately 7.5 m² when applied at a 2 mm thickness
  • The finished surface can be painted with suitable vapour-permeable paints.

Application

Before applying the plaster, thoroughly remove dust and other contaminants from the surface of the calcium silicate board. It is recommended to prime the surface using Skamol Primer.

One 15 kg bag of Skamol Smooth Plaster should be mixed with 5.5–6.5 litres of clean water. Mix thoroughly for at least 5 minutes. Allow the prepared mixture to rest for 10–15 minutes, then mix again until a smooth, uniform, and air-bubble-free consistency is achieved.

It is recommended to use the prepared mixture within 30–60 minutes.

Apply the plaster to the board using a notched trowel, forming an even 1.5–3 mm thick layer. After application, level and smooth the surface.

Carry out the application at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C.

It is recommended to use the fireplace only after the plaster has fully cured. At a temperature of approximately +20 °C, the plaster fully cures within 4–5 days.
